About Us

We are proud to announce our new sponsorship of KFC Mini-Cricket. Through this sponsorship, we plan to make the game bigger and better, and to turn today’s stars into heroes of tomorrow, at the same time ensuring that they live a balanced and active lifestyle.

Our Aim

It's all about taking a fresh approach to enable players to reach their full potential and we want to:

KFC Mini-Cricket

•  Lay the foundation of a life long interest in cricket.
•  Allow all children, irrespective of ability, an equal opportunity.
•  Provide physical exercise in an enjoyable form.
•  Develop self-confidence.
•  Develop ball skills, which would be useful in other sports.

History

KFC Mini-Cricket as a concept was launched in South Africa during the 1982-83 cricket season to encourage the growth and development of cricket amongst boys under 9 and girls under 12 years of age. The concept of KFC-Mini Cricket has its roots in the softball cricket played in the West Indies, and has been received with tremendous enthusiasm by schools, teachers, parents and most importantly by the kids. The keywords in KFC Mini-Cricket are participation and enjoyment.

We provide a medium where children can be coached, while taking part in a modified game of cricket.
